The project boasts a substantial resource of 1.18 million ounces of gold, including a high-grade portion of nearly 800,000 ounces at 6.53 g/t Au.

James Bay Minerals (ASX: JBY) has just acquired the Independence Gold Project in Nevada, USA. The project has a resource of 796,000 oz at 6.5 grammes per tonne, and the mineralisation remains open.
